Training for electricians and fourth-year electrical apprentices to design and install solar photovoltaic and battery storage systems.

This training has ended. Since 2022, over 600 electricians and fourth-year apprentices have completed this training.

This fully subsidised solar and battery training provided eligible electricians and fourth-year electrical apprentices with the skills and knowledge to become:

  • a qualified solar photovoltaic (PV) designer and installer; or
  • a battery storage system (BSS) designer and installer.

It also led to becoming accredited by Solar Accreditation Australia.
