In October 2019, Solar Victoria established the Industry and Consumer Reference Group (ICRG) to provide input on the effective delivery of the Solar Homes Program, including the sustainable development of the solar industry in Victoria.

The ICRG demonstrates Solar Victoria’s commitment to working closely with the solar industry and consumers.

The ICRG is now nearing its first full year of operation and we are now calling for new Expressions of Interest (EoI) for up to eight positions on the ICRG for its second year. Successful members are appointed by the Minister for Solar Homes to represent the industry and consumers in the residential solar industry in Victoria.

Members must commit to attending regular meetings (monthly) and in the case of industry representatives, it is expected that members will consult widely with their networks in the industry to help inform the ongoing programs of the Solar Homes Program.

Solar Victoria is looking to select a balanced group of members to ensure diverse representation encompassing:

  • Small, medium and large retailers
  • Rural, regional and metro areas
  • Gender diversity
  • Cultural diversity
  • Installers
  • Manufacturers/wholesalers/distributors
  • Energy consumer representatives

Please note that current appointees to the ICRG can re-apply.

Expressions of Interest now open

An Expression of Interest is open until Tuesday 31 January 2023 for people wishing to join the ICRG.
