Solar Victoria congratulates Premier’s Sustainability Awards finalists

The Victorian Government has announced the finalists in this year’s prestigious Premier’s Sustainability Awards.

Solar Victoria is the proud sponsor of this year’s Clean, Affordable and Secure Energy – Community Champion award category, which celebrates Victorians delivering clean, affordable, and secure energy. 

Clean, Affordable and Secure Energy - Community Champion is one of six new categories developed for this year's awards and recognises any individual or small organisation and includes small charities, childcare centres, kindergartens, primary and secondary schools and local government. 

The annual awards showcase the achievements of Victorians across a range of sectors and industries who are committed to the long-term sustainability efforts of the state. 

Finalists in the Clean, Affordable and Secure Energy – Community Champion category are:  

  • Sunpower Renewables – Cleo, a Portable Lithium Solar Generator: Sunpower Renewables is part of a global revolution in the energy storage market. Their portable renewable energy generation and storage devices mobilise solar industry growth. 
  • Black Stump Technologies - Renewable Energy UPS: Black Stump’s renewable energy technologies replace the use of diesel generators as providers of site power on construction and infrastructure sites. 
  • BOOMPower – Make Clean Energy Easy: The BOOM! software platform has been designed to Make Clean Energy Easy. Delivering both clean energy and community benefits, BOOM! supports property teams and delivery partners running energy retrofit programs. 

The winners across the six categories will be announced in November 2021.
