When you use more solar you pay less for energy.
This is how. First, work out which appliances use the most energy – track usage with a smart meter and in-home display or app.
Then, time these appliances to run during the day when your solar is producing energy – heat your water, do your washing or use your split system to heat or cool your home.
Make sure you’re on the best retail energy plan for you - and review it regularly. Use the Victorian Energy Compare website.
And if you have a solar battery, you could sell the energy you don’t need when the price is best.
Remember to have your solar panels cleaned and keep them free of obstructions. Regular maintenance plus a service every 2 years with an A-Grade electrician with solar accreditation, will keep them working at their best.
