We had been thinking about a battery for a while.

I didn't know about the rebate and had been concerned about the cost of the battery though.

But the process was quite easy and quite quick: I completed an online application for the rebate and then it was installed about 10 days later.

So we've had the battery 12 months now.

I would say would take us maybe three or four years to recoup the money that we've spent on the battery, and I think in a house that we're going to be here possibly forever that's going to be money well spent.
