Installers: Accessing your accreditations and scanning QR codes

The purpose of this video is to walk you through accessing your accreditations as part of the Victorian government’s Solar Homes Program.

If you are an accredited installer with the CEC, you will receive an email invitation to join the program.

Click the link in the email and register on the Solar Victoria Portal. Once registered, you will receive an email advising you how to download the Service Victoria Mobile App from the relevant app store. Use your credentials to log into the app and create a six-digit pin.

The Service Victoria App contains your digital installer license that we require you to show your customer when on site. It also has an inbuilt QR scanner that you are required to use to scan the customer’s QR code and associate yourself to the installation as the accredited installer.

Your accreditations will be displayed on your digital license. The ‘cards’ tab will allow you to display your Solar Victoria accreditation to a customer when you go to begin their installation. Tap the card to make it full screen.

Once you’ve shown the customer your accreditation, you should use the Eligibility Scanner button in the app to scan the customer’s QR code. Your customer should have their QR code from the email they received from Solar Victoria.

It is very important to scan the QR code as it allows the system to record that the installation was performed by an accredited installer and is therefore eligible for the rebate. The rebate cannot be processed if the QR code has not been scanned.

Now you can start the installation!
